Hemp for Victory

Hemp for Victory is a black and white United States government film made during WW II and released in 1942, explaining the uses of hemp, encouraging farmers to grow as much as possible because other industrial fibers were in short supply. It showed the process of turning hemp into rope, cloth, cordage and other products in order to aid U.S forces in our time of need. As the war came to an end and industrial supplies went back to normal numbers, people began to revert back to their previous lifestyle. Slowly leaving hemp crops for their normal crops, ultimately bringing hemp productions to a halt.
